RGB Strip NOT NeoPixels!!! (Update 6)

For the gate, (picture below) Elena and I thought of wrapping it all up with LEDs and they would light up the second someone steps inside the gate. On the floor, inside the gate there will be shoe soles to direct the user of how to stand AND an FSR sensor inside the shoe soles in order to light up the LEDs once the user steps on them.

Personally, I thought NeoPixels and RGB led strips are the exact same thing but boy was I wrong!!

After watching so many tutorials and asking around, finally I found out how to wire it. I’m still worried that with time it would ruin my precious Arduino, but after talking to David, he told me to get a full 12V external power supply and not to add up volts from different power supplies.

I ran to Tinkersphere to get a 12V 6A Power Adapter with C8 Socket (picture below) and watched a very helpful tutorial on how to wire the RGB LED strip (video below).

After wiring the RGB strip, I had to add the FSR to complete this mission! 💪🏼💪🏼

Thanks to some previous labs, I did that without facing difficulties.
